No. I do not prescribe medication and do not store medication in my office. I suggest you visit your Health Practice PCP for that inquiry.


Yes. Due to high demand, I now take HMSA, Quest and Medicaid. I also accept patients who are pre-registered for HMSA Online Care. If you are an HMSA or HMSA Quest Member you can pre-register for HMSA Online Care on the HMSA website. I offer telehealth for those out of district, and/or in person at my office location in Ocean View (hours are weekends by appt only) There is a co-pay for non Quest clients.


Before contacting me please call HMSA and ask if Behavioral Health Services are on your policy. Confirm with HMSA if you have HMO or PPO and they will tell you next steps. Ask HMSA what your co-pay will be and how many sessions your policy covers. Your co-pay will be required at your appointment. Payment will be through a secure link so you can use your debit/credit card. I do not take cash payments.


Privately paying clients will NOT have their information sent to their health insurance provider as you will be paying for your own services directly to me.

If you are using the HMSA Online Care, HMSA or HMSA Quest they will automatically have this on your medical record as the billing will go through HMSA.  


Yes. Payment for private clients will be paid same day of services through the secure paylink I will provide for payment.  I do not take cash or credit/debit card payment directly.  This link for payment keeps your financial information encrypted, safe and secure. None of your payment information is shared with me.  I will provide you a receipt through the encrypted system we will use. Payment is required the  same day therapy is provided.


  • $80/hour flat fee for all professions that come under "First Responder - Medical -  Fire - Police - EMS - Military - 911 Control Center Staff" Please note: The initial one-hour therapy appointment is at NO COST (pro bono) for this population who responded to the Maui Fires.  
  • $120/hour for youth up to 18 years old  NOTE: (up to 16 yrs must be in person only.)
  • $150/hour for adults
  • $175/hour for couples
  • $180/for family

No additional costs will be added.

* 1 hour =  50 minute therapy with 10 minute session review.


Yes.  I use a secure website for telehealth.  It is HIPPA compliant.  Email and Intake Forms are also HIPPA compliant, encrypted and can be electronically signed.  ( H.2.d. Security , ACA, 2014)

Please note there are some limits to confidentiality including 'Mandated Reporting' and 'Duty to Warn' that all therapists are ethically obliged to comply with.  (B2.a Exceptions, ACA, 2014.)

All HMSA Online care clients will only use the HMSA portal and HMSA documentation.


My office is in Ocean View so mostly serves the Captain Cook, South Kona, Ocean View, Ranchos, Naalehu and Ka'u and Pahala areas. But I also accept clients from other areas in the State of Hawaii. My office is not a 'walk-in' facility.  Appointments are required.


Yes. I use a secure video platform that is HIPPA compliant. ( H.2.d. Security , ACA, 2014) I will send you a secure link for your sessions. For therapy video sessions your camera must be live for safety security and confidentiality, or the session will be ended.

  

The growth, demand and convenience of tele-mental health is booming for many reasons including convenience in location and choice of privacy. This gives you the opportunity of more privacy and confidentiality. Telehealth also gives you flexibility in the location of your choice for therapy appointments. Sit in your car, take a lunch break, be at the beach, walk the dog etc., and drop the worry of someone seeing you walk into a therapy office

No.  I will not offer phone therapy as it does not provide safety, security or confidentiality. 


No.  I am not available after hours. We can discuss other methods of service for crisis or emergency.


Yes.  I offer a free 15 minute phone call for consultation only after you complete the 'contact me' inquiry sheet in the Contact Me tab.
